Progressive Ride
Sunday, November 19, 2006
The progressive ride was well attended and about 30 H.O.G. members showed up to enjoy a beautiful Autumn day of riding, fair temperatures, good food and good company. The first stop was at the new home of Ernest and Kristy Hale on Orchard Mesa. There was good food and lots of it and everyone enjoyed being there. We sang Happy Birthday to Lindsey Thursby and commented on how well he looks for 39. The next stop was at Tim and Sue Hime's on the Redlands. The vistas from there are beautiful, the food was great and Tim made some great Bloody Mary’s. We then rode to the JC Penny wing of Mesa Mall to attend the kickoff of the Salvation Army’s bell ringing drive. State Representative Bernie Buesher was in attendance and our very own Terry Edwards did his part in kicking this off by dropping a contribution into the collection bucket and ringing the bell. From there we proceeded to the home of Ryan and Denise Graff, the long way. We rode toward Fruita, turned on 19 Road, and rode north to I Road and then back East to Ryan and Denise’s house. We enjoyed more good food and drinks. We took some time to take a few photographs to document the occasion. This was the culmination of an incredible riding season in the Grand Valley. We are all looking forward to the Toy Run, which will be the last ride of the year. Hope to see everyone there.
