Dick and Diane Gigliotti

Dick and Diane Gigliotti have been residents of Colorado for fourteen years.  Before that, they were natives of Massachusetts and Connecticut, respectively.  Dick served as a police officer in both states, prior to and after his service with the U. S. Army.

Dick had been retired from a career in law enforcement and corporate security management, most notably at Colt Firearms, when, in 2001, he accepted a position overseeing the final construction of the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado and eventually becoming its first Director.

Diane is the Account Executive for MTR Resources, a small firm involved in placing technicians and professionals at complex industrial and commercial sites around the country.  She previously held the position of Administrator of the Mesa State College Foundation.

In his former life, Dick authored two books and numerous articles on law enforcement management, high-level security design and emergency planning and was a contributing author to several more publications.  He was trained in Hostage Negotiations at the New York Police Department and lectured extensively on that subject for many years.  He was also a member of the adjunct faculty at several colleges and universities.

Not to be undone, Diane, in her previous life, obtained a BA in Microbiology from Eastern Connecticut State University, an MA in Pathobiology from the University of Connecticut and an MA in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  For many years, Diane worked at UNC Naval Products on highly classified nuclear propulsion programs for the Navy and later, on special operations helicopter programs at Sikorsky Aircraft.

Dick and Diane traded their 2001 Electra Glide Classic for a 2006 Ultra Classic last year and have enjoyed riding it since.

Dick's three children and one and a half grandchildren (one is on the way) live in Connecticut.  He and Diane look forward to many more rides and other activities with the Western Slope Chapter of the Harley Owners Group.
