Jim and Pam Morris

Jim and Pam Morris have made Fruita their home for 27 years. They were high school sweethearts in Colorado Spgs and were finally married in 1968.  Jim has been riding motorcycles since 1958. In college, he sold his first black 1950 Harley to buy Pam’s engagement ring, ON THE CONDITION THAT when they could afford another, he could have one. Pam happily agreed, and has shared his love of riding ever since. They have 3 grown children: Julie, in Kent OH, Dan and his wife Wendy, in Portland OR, and Bob, in Eckert, CO. The whole family enjoyed dirt riding, til Pam bit the dirt and bounced. Hence, she enjoys the back seat of Jim’s bike a lot more.
Jim is a retired  DOW officer, and for 15 years the couple rehabilitated injured birds of prey: owls, falcons, eagles and  hawks at their home in Fruita. They were able to release back into the wild about 2/3 of these birds.  Jim and Pam were also very involved with the development of the Viet Nam Veterans War Memorial in Fruita, as Jim is an army veteran, having served as a Medic in Viet Nam. They have been active citizens in the Fruita community. Pam recently retired after 20 yrs as librarian at Shelledy  Elementary School.

Jim and  Pam  were chosen to be the Grand Marshals of this year's Fall Festival Parade in Fruita, mostly for the work Jim has done, for the city and for the birds.

They have enjoyed participating in HOG club and look forward to many more great rides with us.
